Bricks are widely used as a construction material for building façades. When it comes to joint sealing, bricks are doubly challenging: the extremely slender form of these components lead to horizontal and vertical shear forces. This creates a tremendous amount of movement in the joints.

Sealing solutions for brick façades must compensate for a high level of deformation, yet still meet the safety standards for static joints. At the same time, imprecise masonry work can limit the sealant options. Load-bearing consoles of the wrong size sometimes make the use of sealing tapes impossible. Particularly narrow masonry joints can also restrict the use of adhesive sealants.

The best solution must be determined on a case-by-case basis. illbruck offers a wide variety of solutions – for every structure and every contingency.
