The One Port Street development is a flagship residential scheme for Select Property, delivered by Renaker in the heart of Manchester. The completed building stands part-33, part-11 storeys tall and offers 477 high-spec apartments which are a mixture of one, two and three bedrooms.
Residents benefit from shared amenities such as a gym, pool, 7th floor residents lounge and 38 basement car parking spaces, as well as extensive cycle storage and landscaping.
Designed using Building Information Modelling (BIM), this new-build project also included infrastructure works and access roads. Port Street was a key development in Manchester’s ongoing residential transformation and demanded high performance from every aspect of its construction.

With contractors working simultaneously on-site and a strong emphasis on fire safety and installation efficiency, the project required a product range that would offer full compatibility, robust fire performance, and technical support throughout the build.

Rapidfix continue to use illbruck due to the ease of installation, strong on-site support, and competitive pricing. The Class B VCL, in particular, provided a significant cost saving against other manufacturers.
