Backer Rod
AW135 Joint Backing Rod is a PE foam backing material for elastomeric and other cold-applied sealants. It is chemically inert and will not stain or adhere to sealant materials and, therefore, acts as a bond-breaker strip.
AW135 is used as a foam backing rod behind the sealant joint, for exterior and interior use. When positioned correctly it ensures correct joint dimensions. AW135 avoids 3-sided adhesion, allowing the joint to move more efficiently.
